The most famous influencers in Austria
From Arnold Schwarzenegger and David Alaba to Lisa-Marie Schiffner, Amira Aly and Andreas Gabalier: who has the biggest Instagram stage in Austria.
1 Arnold Schwarzenegger
Seven-time Mr. Olympia, Conan, the Terminator, Governor of California from 2003 to 2011: Arnold Schwarzenegger was born in Thal near Graz. Today he writes mostly about training and perseverance, weekly and in English, and convenes the Austrian World Summit, which he founded in 2017 and which meets at Vienna’s Hofburg.
2 David Alaba
Captain of Austria’s national team, four-time Champions League winner, twice with Bayern Munich and twice with Real Madrid, at Udinese since 2026: David Alaba posts almost only about football. He switches between Spanish and English and turns to German whenever Austria plays, with “Gemma!” as his fixed cry.

3 RAF Camora
Raised in Vienna’s Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus district, RAF Camora has released six number-one albums in Germany and, with Bonez MC, shaped the “Palmen aus Plastik” series. “From Westbahnhof to Times Square” is how he summed up the journey himself. His posts announce music almost exclusively, and new songs drop at 11:59 pm.
4 Doina Barbaneagra
Doina Barbaneagra’s year follows the fashion calendar: fashion week in Milan and Paris, the film festival in Cannes, where she credits the dress, jewellery and styling of her appearance. Back in Vienna things get more down to earth, with formats like “What Brands Send Me” or the day half her wardrobe went.
5 Stephanie Davis
Austrian creator Stephanie Davis has been on social media since 2011, for a long time mostly with fitness. Today she lives in Munich and mostly shows where she travels; the Oktoberfest is part of every year.
6 Manuel Bechter
Manuel Bechter builds illusions out of double exposures, light painting and miniature landscapes in which a few stones and some fake snow become caves and deserts on video. The Graz photographer usually appears in front of the camera himself, and since 2025 he has mostly filmed in Styria, at the city’s clock tower as much as in the Gesäuse mountains.
7 Lisa-Marie Schiffner
Graz-based Lisa-Marie Schiffner has been posting since 2014: travel, videos with her partner and self-portraits made with her own editing app. She hosts the podcast “Verquatscht & Verbunden” with her mother.
8 Dominic Thiem
In March 2020 Dominic Thiem rose to world number three, higher than any Austrian before him, and six months later he won the US Open. In 2026 he ran his first half marathon as a team captain at the Wings for Life World Run and was Austria’s ambassador at the UEFA Super Cup.
9 Amira Aly
Amira Aly from Klagenfurt has been a fixture on German television, as host of VOX’s “Prominent!”, in fourth place on “Let’s Dance” and in the final of “The Masked Singer”. On Instagram she shares family life, cakes and travel, along with her fashion line AMALY and her Christmas shop “Amiras Zauber”.
10 Jonny Balchin
Having moved from New Zealand to Salzburg, Jonny Balchin turns whatever puzzles him there into short sketches: der, die, das, dialect, felt hats and why every village seems to have a Hans, a Franz and a Sepp. He writes his captions in English and films in Austria, often in the countryside.
11 Manuel Krappinger
As KrappiWhatElse, Manuel Krappinger from Steyr is one of the best-known Austrian YouTubers of his generation, with a channel running since 2013. On Instagram he goes by Mr.K and shows a hobby he takes seriously: basketball, which in 2024 took him to the NBA games in Abu Dhabi as a spectator.
12 Alexander Eder
His deep voice is the trademark of Alexander Eder from Neuhofen an der Ybbs, who became known through “The Voice of Germany”. He writes some of his songs himself, and his posts follow new releases and concerts, in 2026 an unplugged tour that ended at the Brucknerhaus in Linz.
13 Anna Strigl
Anna Strigl from the Ötztal valley makes short videos in which Tyrol is rarely far away: dialect sketches, curl experiments that her grandmother often joins, and motorcycle rides. In 2025 she danced on ORF’s “Dancing Stars”.
14 Victoria Swarovski
Innsbruck-born Victoria Swarovski won “Let’s Dance” in 2016, has hosted the show since 2018 and presented the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Austria. Her posts show what happens backstage, including outfit changes in under forty seconds, alongside her own fashion and beauty labels.
15 Andreas Gabalier
Andreas Gabalier calls his music folk rock ’n’ roll, and he has been filling arenas and stadiums with it since 2011. “I sing a Liad für di”, “Amoi seg’ ma uns wieder” and “Hulapalu” became hits, and “Herzwerk” and “Home Sweet Home” topped the Austrian album charts. He grew up in Graz, and his posts are almost entirely about music: the studio, life on tour and thanks to his fans.

About Austria’s influencer scene
Austria’s big Instagram names are a small group: only some forty creators from the country have more than half a million followers.
At the top are two whose stage reaches far beyond the country, Arnold Schwarzenegger from Styria and national team captain David Alaba. Below them it gets more Austrian. Manuel Bechter with his photo illusions, Lisa-Marie Schiffner and Andreas Gabalier come from Graz, YouTuber Manuel Krappinger from Steyr, Amira Aly from Klagenfurt, Alexander Eder from Neuhofen an der Ybbs, Victoria Swarovski and Anna Strigl from Tyrol. And a New Zealander in Salzburg explains the country with sketches about dialect and felt hats.
For brands, this means Austria’s reach is spread across very different audiences, from football to fashion and family to Schlager. The list shows the names people know, sorted by followers. It includes anyone who comes from or lives in Austria, checked against posts and press rather than a profile line. We made one exception for Andreas Gabalier, who sits below the threshold with just over 400,000 followers but belongs on any list like this.
