The best influencers from Vienna
From Dominic Thiem to Dr. Bohl — and, in between, strikingly many who spend their evenings on a stage.
1Dominic Thiem
Dominic Thiem is the only Austrian ever to win a Grand Slam, the 2020 US Open. His last match came in October 2024, in a sold-out Wiener Stadthalle. Since then he has mostly shown what came after. He is building a bio-acetate eyewear line, coaches young players at his tennis academy in Burgenland, and has completed the Everesting challenge two years running, 8,848 metres of ascent in one go.
2Victoria Swarovski
In May 2026 Victoria Swarovski fronted the 70th Eurovision Song Contest at the Wiener Stadthalle alongside Michael Ostrowski, nine shows in five days. The rest of the year she hosts “Let’s Dance”, the show she won herself in 2016. And four months before Eurovision, she finished the Dakar Rally.

3Manuel Krappinger
Manuel Krappinger has been making videos since 2013, challenges with a childhood friend first, later music under his own name. Basketball runs through his Instagram, dunks and streetball filmed on the court. At the end of 2025 he appeared in his first reality show, “Match in Paradise” on Joyn and ATV.
4Florian Maček
For the Vienna Opera Ball, Florian Maček walks through exactly what a man wears that evening. The rest is fit checks and outfit questions put to his audience, shot between Paris, Florence and cross-country skiing in the Alps. He started out in 2018 as a business student, then modelled in Shanghai and Beijing. His own label, Hostile, is sewn in Porto from organic cotton.
5Mario Schafzahl
The weekend long run takes 70 to 90 minutes, and the heart rate is meant to stay between 120 and 130. Mario Schafzahl spells out targets like that in his posts, and most Sundays a mobility session follows. He coached at John Harris before going independent; today he co-owns the training app Endur, and competes at Hyrox himself.
6Michael Buchinger
In short videos Michael Buchinger takes on whatever annoys him, mostly the language of wellness and self-optimisation: biohacking, ice baths, the word trigger. He ran a marathon and then decided never to run another; the book about it comes out in October 2026 with edition a. He has been on stage since 2018. Six books so far, one of them a cookbook.
7Paul Grohmann
Paul Grohmann took the name from a prank call in year seven, and he has stuck with the principle. He plays Viennese types he is not, the rich kid, the Austrian dad, the grumpy grandfather, filmed at Reumannplatz and on the Kohlmarkt. His stated job title, in jest, is “CEO of Almdudler”. In April 2026, by his own posts, he ran the Vienna City Marathon.
8Jabanero
Jabanero takes his characters from Austrian everyday life, the parcel courier, the police officer, the neighbour, the caretaker on a council estate. He plays them all himself, switching costume and location at speed under one title, “POV: X in Österreich”. A fixed cast carries it, above all a stubborn father and a son forever being told to move out. Leberkäse gets a chapter of its own.
9Roofless TV
Behind Roofless TV is a Vienna crew that enters abandoned places and films while doing it. 1,200 metres underground in a Soviet uranium mine that once fed the nuclear weapons programme. Cold War bunkers, a 40-kilometre tunnel system beneath an aircraft factory, a stranded ship in Egypt. The channel began with parkour; Instagram carries the excerpt, the full film runs on YouTube.
10Melanie Pignitter
Her format is the quote card, one sentence over a portrait, often posed as a question. Beneath her posts Melanie Pignitter regularly adds a line about how they were made: the graphic is AI-assisted, the text is not. She came to Instagram from banking and business training. Today she is a repeat SPIEGEL bestselling author, and has hosted the “Honigperlen” podcast since 2016.
11Vanessa Zinner
Under #VanessaTestet, Vanessa Zinner works through hair and make-up trends and puts the result to a vote, usually against one of her friends. The same group of three has been along for years, through Disneyland, through Tomorrowland, as far as a wedding. What carries the account is less any single trend than the audience that votes every time.
12Magdalena Wöckinger
An IKEA pendant lamp, tiled piece by piece with mirror mosaic, is one Magdalena Wöckinger calls a personal favourite; she has now built more than 30 lamps. Her five-square-metre guest toilet is turning into a laundry room, one instalment at a time. She has run a blog since 2017, written a DIY book, and teaches workshops.
13Dr. Bohl
The doctorate is a stage name; behind Dr. Bohl stands Paulus Bohl, a law graduate. He played his first cabaret programme in a school cellar in 2020; in August 2026, 1,600 people came to the Theater im Park. Add to that a love song to Schnitzel, a second one to the white spritzer, second place on “Dancing Stars” and a Grüner Veltliner sold in shops under his name.
14Edisa Shahini
“Some call it the beige epidemic,” she writes about her palette of cream, taupe and brown, “I call it healing from the prints we grew up with.” Edisa Shahini has blogged since 2010 and was named Austria’s best fashion blogger in 2016. In 2025 she co-founded Maison Rivée, a marketplace for vintage luxury. In July 2026 she cooked lunch for 150 homeless people with the team at Vienna’s Gruft.
15Tobitainment
He calls himself president of Vienna’s tenth district and plays the districts off against one another, the snob from the first, the down-to-earth type from further out, a police officer in between. In the summer of 2026 Tobitainment broke off for something he meant seriously, sharing the animal-welfare group VGT’s petition about the Fiaker horses in the heat. He lets his audience follow his training runs up to ten kilometres.

About Vienna's influencer scene
More than a thousand creators post from Vienna, and a striking number of them spend their evenings on a stage.
Vienna's scene is a comedy scene, and not only on the phone: cabaret programmes with touring schedules, a start in a school cellar and 1,600 people at the Theater im Park, POV sketches in dialect, plus a love song about Schnitzel that made it onto the radio. What also stands out is how many people here have written a book — about self-optimisation, about self-love, about building furniture. Beside them sits a second row with no punchlines at all: a crew that abseils into disused uranium mines, a coach with his own app, fashion and interior voices with a deliberately quiet visual language.
For brands that means Vienna's creators bring experience with Austrian institutions, from the city administration and Almdudler to SPAR and Wein & Co, and their communities are largely local. So we do not sort by follower count; we look at who genuinely lives here and posts from here — measured by where the posts come from and which Vienna accounts a creator actually works with. Fifteen names are on this list; the scene is considerably larger.
